This past weekend I went to Michigan for a quick trip…and last night we went to a Crowder Band concert..John Mark McMillan, Chris August, & Gungor were also there…now honestly, my mom’s a much bigger fan of Crowder than I’ve ever been, but I was super impressed with Gungor’s “acoustic set” (complete with xylophone, harpsichord, and other strange instruments), Chris August’s awesome voice range, & McMillan’s Irish-ness. It is the Crowder band’s last tour together, and they just released a Christmas album which i WILL be purchasing after hearing last nights samples. :)

I love when the sun rays shine through the sky like this. When I was little I always used to think it was Jesus moving down closer to wherever I was. Did you ever think anything like that??

Me and my sister had a little date the other day…we went and got some good fried food from the little ice cream place in our favorite town…Clayton, of course! :) She’s great. Seriously. She has a good head on her shoulders, and she’s super smart and cute. I like her. :)

This gets me every time. I was talking with my friend today about how crazy it would be to be Amish. Can you imagine living with no electricity and no car all time?! I mean, I love a good weekend or even a week of camping, but I’m definitely not up for a lifetime of it. Also, seeing Amish buggies in the dark freaks me out. That’s all. :)

I seriously love the sky. If you choose to frequently visit my blog from here on out, chances are super high you’ll see loads of pictures of sunsets, clouds, blue skies, etc. Pretty much anything besides sunrises because well, let’s face it, I’ve never been a morning person and still can’t truly appreciate the beauty of a sunrise…sorry. :) What’s your favorite thing the sky does?? :)

The other day I had the privilege of having a facial AND back massage done by my little friend Madison..she’s 9 and should work in a salon when she grows up. :) I was sitting in my room doing very important things (checking facebook, twitter, email, etc.), when she bounded in and said, “I just gave Leah a facial and massage, and you’re next”! My first thought was “maybe another time” followed closely with, “No, do it, it’ll be fun, and you’re not doing anything important anyways.” Ten minutes later (I know, TEN whole minutes out of my very busy schedule..haha..), Leah took a picture of my face. Yeah, I’m super looking forward to having kids someday! :)

I’ve just been going through pictures from this past summer, and this one keeps jumping out at me…I love Washington D.C. No matter how many times I’ve been there, the monuments and memorials are always beautiful, especially all lit up at night. If you’ve been to D.C., what is your favorite monument or memorial (and why if you care to expound)? “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.
